artist road is a nice nine-mile loop with really nice views. i personally like this dip in the road.

i found a picnic bench to heat up a little bit of food and do some van maintenance. i had to replace a headlight (again! it's a recurring problem). it was the first time i used my backpacking stove. yay!! i had instant coffee in my 'subway' mug, a heated can of beans and a can of salmon. filled me real good.






did you feel anything like what the opposite of altitude sickness would be? depth sickness?? ;)
