last day in death valley

i had no idea i'd be in death valley for four days.  are you sick of all the death valley posts yet?  there were still things i didn't even explore.  i'll just save it for next time (next time?) : ).

there was free wifi at the visitor's center, so that's where i did the first few death valley blogs.

after spending time blogging, having some late lunch, stopping by the post office, and taking my time, it was too late to get to red rock canyon near las vegas before dark.  this photo was on my way out of the park. well, almost....  how about one more night!

oh, and leave it to me to notice, but there was a curvy part of this road that had a mistake in the centerline striping which designates safe passing sections.  since it could potentially contribute to a fatal accident, i'm in the process of contacting the appropriate authorities about it.  i'm always a highway engineer even if i'm unemployed.
