i crossed the border into canada once again.  the officer had me come inside the office while he called the country's immigration office since his technical training was primarily in customs only.   he had me count in front of him how much money i had in cash on hand.  "how are you going to afford your trip in canada?" he inquired.  "i'll only be in the country for two days and i plan to spend no money except for a tank of gas."   eventually i persuaded him i had enough canadian/states cash and also that i wasn't planning to stay in canada despite my lack of significant "ties" to the states.

and then traveled through alberta to calgary by nightfall.
