my drive out of yellowstone's east side toward cody was beautiful! the road winded down hill most of the way.
when in cody i still had to watch out for deer which were all over.
my friend hannah, who i met up with early in the trip in colorado, grew up in cody. she contacted some of her friends, jeff and gerry who very kindly hosted me for the night. i got to their house in time for a late dinner and got to chat with them and their family and friends too - alli, tawna, jake, and wes. it was such a pleasant visit and i felt so welcomed!
it's fun meeting people from different parts of the states because i'm always having to ask them what certain terms mean - one's that to them are completely normal and part of every day life but to me are completely foreign. i know it's kind of lame to mention something like that without examples, but that's how it is for now.
as jeff and gerry packed to leave for a few days of camping, i planned my route to canada. they gave me pointers on some scenic routes and also packed me some food for my journey. so nice! : )
