route 101

logging trucks are all over.

i drove to the oregon coast.

and went up the coast on route 101.  i didn't realize oregon had huge dunes on the coast.  cool!

at some places along the highway there are some glorious views!

it was beautiful!  but i had expected a lot more. i was a little let down to find out most of it was through the forest - close to but without a view of the shore line.  oh well, still worth it!

i love the drive up the columbia river highway along the northern border of oregon.  on the left is washington, on the right is oregon.
