as bob and i gazed with marvel at the model trains, the guys working on the track saw us and asked if we wanted to help. bob and i looked at each other. sure! what an adventure!
we helped move some mini wooden ties and grabbed drills and hammers and worked for almost an hour i guess.
jeremy (not me) is the one taking on a foreman role.
then we got to look at some of the other parts of the track and chatted for a while. daniel, robert, george, carol, scott, and a couple others were also helping out.
they are called the washington country railroad (wcrr) in cherryfield maine. and man what an amazing setup they had! 3,000 feet of track representing 5.5 miles at a scale of 7.5:1. the track started to get built a way long time ago. they have their own metal shop and make their own beautiful rail cars and have a couple of coal fired steam locomotives too. no joke! the real deal! amazing!

they ordered pizza and invited us to feast with them as they took a late lunch break. fun people. cool project they are keeping going! glad i got to be a part of it. : )
