i found the coast again. portland has some nice little shopping sections. it was still raining so i didn't venture out on any walk. i had been to portland a couple times before, including last summer, so i didn't feel the need to do more than drive through.
i stopped at llbean in freeport to look around and pick up a few minor camping items.
the barns & noble in augusta provided me with a place to do some blogging.
i continued up as far as newport in the dark, watching out for moose.
walmart parkinglot... no incident that night.
