texas things?

so i've noticed a few things since getting into texas...

the accent.  hm, i kinda like it.  : )

there are a lot of white painted vehicles, a bunch of them being large 4x4 trucks and suvs.  makes sense in a climate that's scorching hot in the summer.   oh yeah, also an abundance of tinted windows for driver's seats and passenger's seats.
the following shot was actually in arkansas...  when i took the picture, i meant to show the 4 or 5 white cars in the foreground.  but after inspecting the picture, i realized i captured many more white vehicles.  in fact i can count about 17! vs about 9 non-white.  yikes!

i think i've seen more ladies driving the men than the other way around.  and if the ladies are in the passenger seat, they are sure to be brushing up in the mirror.

women's wear doesn't seem to spare the long white lacy sleeves fashion, nor the brown leather boots.

what's a whataburger?

H.E.B  is it true?

i think i'm getting used to the road layout, but it's taking a while.  farm to market?  is that integral with, or separate than the state route system?  i missed a lot of turns at first because the roads aren't always labelled with their name, but instead just the f to m number.  here's "fm 1382."

i'm a fan of the u-turn lanes that duck under the highway between frontage roads.  well done.

until i got near dallas, the traffic was pretty tame all over the rest of the state.  it was actually a stark contrast.
