louisiana, #25 & #42

before starting my trip, louisiana was the only southern state i hadn't already been to.  now louisiana has become the 25th state visited on my journey which started in november 2009 and also the 42nd state visited on my journey which started in february 1980.   both of those tallies may reach 48 by the end of this summer if i keep up my pace.  and who knows, but alaska and hawaii better get ready for me too, just in case.
