bowling green, ohio

when i was in new orleans last february i met a lot of people, some of whom were from ohio.   several of them invited me to visit them if my trip brought me through their state.   five months later it worked out!  i reconnected with tommy and angel at a dairy queen in bowling green, ohio.   in all it was me, tommy and his friend christy, angel and her sons kodi and branden.  a fun bunch of people!

christy excitedly introduced me to the awesome burgers and fries of their dairy queen.  tommy generously treated.  it was yummy!  somehow i don't ever recall dairy queen having those items on the menu...   hm...  we enjoyed having a relaxing evening together and had fun getting to know each other just a little better.   too bad we didn't play a rematch of uno!  i guess it wouldn't have been fair without lisa who was out of town. : (

i followed angel and her boys to their house out in the darkness and quietness of ohio farmlands.  they put me up in their trailer for the night where i got an awesome sleep!

in the morning i played video games with the boys while their super helpful dad, jeff looked under my van and tracked down the source of my leaking break fluid.  he tightened a loose bolt which might have been the problem.  i would just have to continue to keep an eye on the fluid level as i go.

before i left, they filled me up with lunch and kodi showed me where they kept their goats, turkeys, ducks, and chickens.  also, with a safe fence between us, i met their dog savannah who weighed 30 or so pounds more than me!

i felt so welcomed : )   i was glad it worked out for me to stop bye!
