eventually the sky got clear and the sun came through.
i decided to look around before my paid tour was scheduled to begin. this is as far north as the public is allowed to drive.
deadhorse and prudhoe bay were at the north end of the dalton highway where it terminated at the arctic ocean. basically their main purpose for existence as a town was to support the oil field work. there was lots of special large machinery around and warehouses and semis. worker trucks were bustling around everywhere.
i made sure to fill up my gas tank.
it took a little while figuring out what the procedure was to make it happen.
