i met a few people while i was near savannah. my parents new of a family that lived in richmond hill, just south of savannah. i got to meet up with nick who has been a pastor there for a couple years. nick spent two summers helping my dad with the boardwalk chapel ministry in my hometown. nick and i met up and had a couple drinks at molly macpherson's while discussing various ministry settings and the various nuances that make them tick. he was a really intelligent guy who was easy to talk to about those types of things.
i was also contacted by heather, my good friend who now lives in philly. she also knew a family in richmond hill! so i met up with her really good friend who is married with one child... erin, brenden, and katie. i felt so welcomed! we had dinner together and decided to take it easy for the evening at their house with homemade smoothies in hand. mmmm! erin and brenden were very sweet people and i'm so glad i got to meet them and stay with them. : )
