i actually had the best walmart parking lot sleep up to that point. i think many factors contributed, including a very short sleep the night before, 8+ hours of driving, a bike workout, lots of sun, and probably the fact that i'm getting accustomed to the whole parking lot scene.
my drive into north carolina was great. the sun, the green green grass and trees, the budding flowers, the warmth. i had a good feeling that that is what i'd get a lot of in the months following. yes!! soooo green.
i enjoyed driving through charlotte.
i don't really have anything to say about charlotte. : ) it was nice. had more buildings than i expected. oh, actually it looked like there were a lot of good places to eat downtown. but since my budget almost excludes food, i don't usually get to try them out.
after about 20 minutes of looking around, i headed north. i found a barnes & noble near durham to use the internet for the rest of the evening. just a thought, it's been forever since i've gone into a library to check out a book... why don't all of our libraries just open a coffee bar inside and have wifi? or do they?
i've seen libraries w/ cafes - not sure about wifi - but usually it's in the front of the library and you can't bring food into the part w/ books. i know at rutgers, there was a no food policy b/c it attracts bugs that eat books (??) anyhoo - it's getting green up here too. my cemetary is so beautiful! :)
