myrtle beach, south carolina

after my bike ride around the cable stayed bridge, i drove a couple more miles north and found the beach i was looking for on isle of palms.

i lay on the sand long enough to listen to a sermon.  

i could have stayed longer but the bugs were jumpstarting their evening presence, so it was time to move on.

this guy was teaching these little girls how to drive.   watch out!

one more destination for the day - myrtle beach.  on the two hour drive along the coast, i saw a bunch of these road side basket sellers.  not quite what i would have expected to see.

i just wanted to go to myrtle beach so i could see it first hand...   yeah, it was a nice beach, but unfortunately it's the hub for spring break mayhem.  

sadly, but truly the wild scene reminded me of the crazy side of my home town in the summer.  oh well.  : )

i stayed just long enough to get my upsidedown shot.  it might have been worth it. : )
