philadelphia broad street 10 mile run

i don't like to run.  it hurts.  so what did i do?  i signed up for a ten mile run...  hmm.   the first time i had ever run ten miles was in the same race two years previous, after-which i basically didn't run at all.

the day before the run i went with kristen to the expo where everyone had to get their racing bib.  i knew about 20 other people who were also running.

i stayed the night with eric and then got a ride with teresa and jim to the start line.

it was a ten mile race with 30,000 people!  that's more total miles run than the distance from the earth to the moon.

it was a really hot morning, so i didn't push myself too hard.

the run is basically a straight-shot down through the center of the city and ends at the naval yard to the south.

i finished somewhere around 11,000th+ place.  ha!
